Clifford Stoltze is the founder and creative director of Stoltze Design, a 10-person studio located in Boston, MA. Capabilities include strategic design for print, interactive media and packaging. Over the past 20 years, Stoltze has worked with a diverse group of clients including education, publishing, technology, financial and entertainment.
Recognized for innovative design solutions and expressive typography, Stoltze Design has been featured in Communication Arts, ID, How, Print, Step, Graphis and Émigré Magazine and received numerous awards from national design organizations including: The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), The American Center for Design, and The Type Directors Club. Published and exhibited internationally, his work is also in the permanent collection of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. Clif teaches at Rhode Island School of Design and frequently lectures, recently at the 2007 How Design Conference. Clif’s book 1000 Music Graphics was published in May by Rockport and he was recently honored by being the recipient of the 2005 AIGA/Boston Fellows Award.
